Sevadhar sewing endless yards of yellow satin

Meeting with Captain Kamaljit Singh and staff in the pandal/tent in New Amritsar explaining my ideas.

Myself and the beautiful family who were designing/constructing

the enormous pandal/tent for the event. They had been there for four months working before I arrived to design the stage. Sadarji and his mother and daughter.

Finish stage with flower petal design and draping fabric

(photo taken off television)

In August, 2004, I was invited by the SGPC of the Golden Temple in Amritsar, India to decorate for the 400th Anniversary of the first

installation of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib at the Harimander Sahib. The event took place in a pandal in New Amritsar. We created a stage which was 60 feet in length and covered it with a thousand yards of turquoise satin to represent the water at the Darbar Sahib and added gold bangle ornaments to the ceiling simulating the shimmering affect of the reflection of the temple. A digital photo of the Golden Temple was placed as a backdrop and yellow and orange satin draped the front of the stage matching the ramalas. A gold Adi Shakti was crowning the top as a turban pina and on each side of the stage flew five majestic Adi shakti flags standing 20 feet high and draped in orange satin. In front of the stage on the ground, a floral design measuring 120 feet in length was created using millions of flower petals.
